There are a lot of error codes on the SWF E-Series embroidery machine. But you only get to view them when your machine experiences a problem or needs to be adjusted. Although more expensive than other products, the SWF embroidery machine is one of the best commercial computerized embroidery machines available today. However, if properly maintained, the machine can survive for many years.
I used a one-head E Series SWF embroidery machine with 9 needles when I worked in a uniform factory. I experienced a problem that, although I initially thought it was typical, ended up substantially interfering with my ability to complete my clients' jobs. Other than what the machine tells you, you cannot know all the fault codes in an SWF machine.
When an SWF embroidery machine displays this error - "ERROR: #201: Error 201 X-axis driver irregular signal detected. RESET Machine Power Off/On. " or "ERROR: #202: Error 202 Y-axis driver irregular signal detected. RESET Machine Power Off/On. " In my experience, any of these four potential factors could be the cause of the SWF machine displaying error 201 or 202 on the screen:
- There could be something obstructing the free movement of the X or Y frame. If this is the case, all you need to do is to switch off the machine and check around. It could be that your tread has mistakenly fallen down or maybe you kept something there that is not making the frames move freely. This is very common.
- It can also happen when the size of the embroidery design that you have set is bigger than the capacity of the machine. In this case, you must devise a design method or reduce the size.
- Board problem: It could be a signal failure from the X and Y boards. This means there is an electronic that is failing to operate. The signal the board is sending to the motor is failing. In this case, you need to call an engineer to fix it or buy a new board from the manufacturer.
- Motor: The SWF machine I use has three motors. One is attached to the X frame, one to the y frame, and one to the main motor, which is located in the back. In this case, when the machine shows "ERROR: #201", it means that the motor on the X axis is bad and needs to be replaced. When the machine shows "ERROR: #202", it means the motors attached to the Y axis is bad and need to be replaced.
Working with an SWF E-Series embroidery machine for me is very easy. The more you work with it, the more you learn and understand.
