- Seasoning cubes: 3 cubes

Step-by-step method of how egusi soup is prepared
- Clean and wash all ingredients; wash fish and periwinkles clean (please wash only with water).
- Blend the egusi, fresh peppers, and usu. If you blended the egusi dry, you should mix it with a little water to make a thick paste.
- Wash and slice the leaves.
- Heat up the cooking pot and add palm oil. Let it get hot.
- Add the egusi paste and stir-fry until dry.
- Add a little water (don't stir yet) and add the clean fish (stock fish, dried catfish, or any fish you bought) and periwinkles.
- Add pepper, seasoning, and salt, and give the soup a light stir. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Add the crayfish and stir.
- Lastly, add the sliced leaves and cook the soup for an extra 3 minutes.
